We are back to a normal week this week. The must see shows are this weekend as we get Tori Amos on Saturday Night at The Orpheum and Ice Cube at Stir Cove on Friday night. This week is also the first Playing With Fire weekend (there is another one in August). These are free shows (though you can donate at PlayingWithFireOmaha.net) in the blues vein and on Friday features Sugaray Rayford and Eddie 9V. Saturday is an international affair with Dom Martin Band from the UK, Twelve Bar Blues Band from Netherlands and Justin Saladino Band from Canada. 

Cowgirl Eastern will have their album release party at The Slowdown on Friday. Check out their Facebook page for a really fun promo video for the event. Their album release graphic is super badass also.  People complain about not enough early shows, but there are tons of opportunities every week and this week you can do brunch with Matt Cox on Sunday at Mouth of the South in the Old Market at 11AM and their are a slew of 7PM shows at the winery’s, bob & willies wonderbowl, Sonny’s and more. Enjoy some of that outdoor music while you can. We already have the dates available for when Pumpkin Spice hits a few coffee shops. Hope to see you at the shows this week.
