Eight New Show Announcements for Omaha

Written in

by

The big show announcement this week (in music—I guess there was a comedy one) is Ethel Cain. Kind of a surprise really, as I figured it would be a few tours before Omaha had a chance at her, but I guess she really likes Nebraska (she has posted about an experience in Nebraska), and one of her big songs is called “A House In Nebraska”. Her debut album, Preacher’s Daughter, came out last year, and she has amassed a big fan base and a lot of critical acclaim. The show is at The Slowdown on October 9th, and the artist pre-sale sold out this morning. The venue pre-sale is tomorrow, so keep an eye on Slowdown’s social media for that code.

Country artist Paul Cauthen will be at The Admiral on September 26th with Colby Acuff (who just performed at Bucks Bar and Grill on Monday—review of that show went up on this site last night). Those tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday at etix.com.

Possibly the coolest show announced is post punk band Sextile at The Waiting Room on October 19th with N8NOFACE, Plack Blague, and Jeff In Leather. I was at a festival in California in May and almost paid for a hour long Uber ride to see them while I was there, but I’m thankful that I didn’t do that. Seeing them in Benson will be much more affordable.  Tickets are on sale now at etix.com.

The man has an Oscar and a Grammy, and he almost won a Emmy for an episode of Growing Pains, but the EGOT still alludes to Christopher Cross. He will be able to knock performing at The Admiral in Omaha off his list when he performs there on October 12th for an Evening With. This is a seated show, and tickets are Pre-Sale tickets were happening this morning with code ONEPERCENT. If those are gone, the regular pre-sale is Friday

The Motet will be performing at The Slowdown on November 11th with their new vocalist, Sarah Clarke. That pre-sale started this morning at Slowdown.com.

Emarosa, The Dangerous Summer, and First and Forever will be playing the Waiting Room on October 7th.

The Sunday Roadhouse, which has brought us many great Americana acts over the years, will celebrate their 20th Anniversary at Reverb Lounge on September 23rd with Sarah Borges. Check out SundayRoadHouse.com for tickets.

Country artist Tyler Halverson will be at The Slowdown on September 28th. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
