Here are ten shows that were announced this week and the on sale dates and where tickets can be found. 

Indie rock band Wednesday is coming to the Slowdown on May 30th and bringing Draag! along with them. Wednesday’s 2023 album Rat Saw God is one of my favorites of the year, and this is already a contender for one of the top shows of 2024. If you are into current indie rock music, do not sleep on this. Tickets on sale at theslowdown.com at 10AM Friday. 

Another awesome Slowdown show is Joseph, who will be at the venue on January 20th, when we are all bored out of our minds and itching to get out of the house. They will do the trick with their shimmery, harmony laden, hooky indie pop that only three sisters can pull off. I got to see them at a showcase in New Orleans some years back, and they are wonderful. Tickets on sale Friday at 10AM at TheSlowdown.com 

New Jersey pop band Phoneboy (I have been called that) has a pop rock sound with an emphasis on the pop. They are touring on their new album Moving Out that came out in March and will be hitting The Waiting Room on December 3rd with tickets going on sale Friday at 10 AM at Etix.com This song I just listened to is going to get stuck in my head. 

Post Hardcore band Thursday will be at The Slowdown on February 1st and will be performing the album War All The Time in full and celebrating its turning drinking age. People (well my friends) seem just as pumped about Rival Schools performing on this lineup. Keith Buckley from Every Time I Die will be there also with his new band Many Eyes. Petey, who I assumed was just known for his song “The Freedom To Fuck Off’ actually has more well known songs out there. He will bring all of them to the Waiting Room on March 6th with The Slaps. Probably not a show to wait to buy tickets to-they go on sale Friday at Etix.com 

Ill Bill has worked with more cool people than I have time to list here and has been doing the rap game for decades now. He will be at The Waiting Room on December 12th with tickets going On Sale Friday at 10AM 

Country artist Scotty McCreery won season ten of American Idol, and actually went on to success after that including a string of number one country hits in recent years. He will be at Steelhouse Omaha to win over Omaha on February 10th. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10AM at steelhouseomaha.com 

Yacht rock cover band Yachtley Crew will dock their boat at Steelhouse Omaha on June 28th of next year. Make sure to ask for some fresh parrot shirts for Christmas this year. Tickets on sale at steelhouseomaha.com Friday at 10AM. 

Speaking of American Idol, did you know that Josiah Lemming is the only artist to not make the Top 24 of American Idol and still score a major label record deal? You know that now and you can use that bit of trivia to impress other people (who will probably also know that) at his show under the name Josiah and the Bonnevilles on March 15th at The Slowdown. Adam Doleac is an on the rise country artist who has written songs for Darus Rucker and Kane Brown. Doleac will be at Barnato on May 11th with tickets on sale Friday at 10AM at TicketWeb.com
